Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Manchester City: Spores fall in a highly competitive game

Tottenham Hotspur found their life at home difficult in this Premier League campaign, and although they bravely fought against the defense of the league champions Manchester City, they could not get enough insult to put the ball in the back of the network today. Despite a dominant second half and numerous great chances, Spurs fell back to an Erling in the first half and could not find the back of the network. Haaland had a second ball on the net deep into the injury time, but was called back by Var for a handball. Tottenham had numerous good chances to complete the heights against the city, but fell 1-0 at home.

It was a good performance against a very good team, but a further loss of hit in the season. Here are my agreement reactions.

Compliance reactions

  • This was a strange game. City could have risen 3-0 in the first half, but given the dominance of Spurs in the second half, it almost felt like Tottenham had one football.
  • Spurs broke Pep so thoroughly that it looked for a while as if Guardiola started the match with 4-4-2. This comment should have this meme of the man who sits in a chair from his own brain.
  • The early goal of City was annoying because Spurs not only came out well well in front of the goal, but also from a Brennan Johnson distraction. Ugly lucky goal, but probably one thing that should have been prevented.
  • The first half was mostly Tottenham, a few balls, but in irrelevant positions and they were able not to bring the ball to the attackers in dangerous areas. In the meantime, Doku Pedro Porro terrorized on the right and City could have numerous chances for the goal.
  • Vicario had a fixed half, including a save that was made in full track. He hardly had to do anything in the second half.
  • I am everything for rotation (and even better the option of the rotation), but I am not sure whether this starting line -up was the right one against the city, even in a bad form. Brennan Johnson is not great against urgent teams, and Odobert and Tel showed flashes of ability, but not enough to do something.
  • Every time we play city, I always forget how much PEP its players proves to rot tactically, and how much it annoys me when they get through with it. City got away with so much violence in this game. Like Spurs with three yellow and city that nobody was lying over my ken.
  • This could have been the best game with Spurs so far. Still a bit of a youthful folly (to steal a severance payment), but his handling of space is just so good at the moment.
  • Quad sub! Quad sub! Quad sub! It was fun! And while Spurs had done it well to get back into the game, I agreed to each of the four U boats.
  • Haaland's second goal that was won was a bit confusing, but apparently the call on the field was a handball on Haaland and Var could not find any conclusive evidence that it was not a handball, so the call was on the field: no goal.
  • I think Djed Spence is better than the Destiny Udogie at the moment, and Archie Gray had one of his best games in a Spurs shirt today.
  • I really have the feeling that Spurs deserves a compensation in this, but there is not much to annoy in this. Tottenham played well, put out her players and looked significantly improved from the bad days in December and January. I am still high in this team, which bounces back and landed with a respectable end of the league.
  • No game this weekend, so Spurs' next game next week is in the Europa League in AZ.
