Travis Kelce's age decision “confirms” when Pat McAfee licks private text about the next step – NFL

Travis Kelce “confirmed” his retirement decision after the defeat of Super Bowl 59 against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to one of the largest NFL channels.

Kelce was competing to win a third super bowl in a row and the fourth of his career in New Orleans, but the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a disappointing defeat against the Eagles with 40 to 22.

Rumors were widespread in the game as to whether the narrow-end would continue his career as a player, and speculation only increased after the General Manager of Chiefs, Brett Veach, unveiled “he had previously fought against a rather great illness”.

It was claimed that he had until March 14th to make his decision, and Kelce is said to be a strong bonus of 11.5 million US dollars a day later.

Kelce's brother Jason, formerly from the Eagles, claimed that Travis had probably already decided in his head.

In his own show from the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Thursday, the ESPN analyst and WWE commentator Pat McAfee read a text message from Kelce in which he claimed that he had decided to return for the 2025 season after he had a “real bad taste in my mouth” about playing in his last game.

The ESPN star Pat McAfee read an SMS from the Kansas City Chiefs in his Thursday show on the network and confirmed that he would return and play next season.

“My dog !!! I will come back safely,” was the text according to McAfee.

“I will try to achieve the best form. I have a really bad taste in my mouth with how I played in this last game and how I prepared the boys for the fight. I can't go out that way !!!! “

McAfee's revelation comes after Veach said that he had the feeling that Kelce had “cheered” to return for the new season when he spoke to reporters at the Scouting Combination on Tuesday.

Kelce had his say in the future

In his new Heights podcast with brother Jason, Kelce said, who is in a relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, he would carefully consider his options and did not rush into the decision.

He emphasized that there would be no “half -reaching” and he would have to need maximum motivation to continue.

He explained: “I step down everyone I can do. I don't make crazy decisions.

“I was lucky enough in the past five or six years that I played more football than anyone else.

“The fact that we continue to go to these AFC championships and these super bowl means that I play more than everyone else in the entire league. This is a lot of wear on your body.”

Kelce continued: “I think I owe my teammates when I come back, it will be a complete decision.

“I am fully here for you and I think I could play. It is only whether I am motivated or not, or it is the best decision for me as a man, as a person and as a person to take on all this responsibility.”
