TRESS: SEC trainer is not ready to set a general manager

By Dan Zealey

According to On3 -Nil, many schools go to an NFL model for the structure of their program for the structure of their program, not the Georgia Bulldog.

The landscape of College sports has changed dramatically in recent years. We saw the realignment of the conference, changes to the transfer portal and above all names, image and similarity (Nile).

Many schools turn to a GM to take over the player negotiations and the zero chances. Alabama, Oklahoma and North Carolina are some examples of schools that have recently brought GMS with them.

“It is a head coach GM model”, North Carolina's Bill Belichick said on ESPN. “We obviously work together and formulate our plan, but [Lombardi] Really gripped the GM side of it, the contracts, the salaries, so on. ”

Georgia Kirby Smart Is on the other side of the argument. He decided not to bring in a GM and counts on his current staff to do the tasks.

“Not special,” said Smart when he was asked whether Georgia could change his organizational structure. “We have a lot of people who are responsible for duty roster management – including myself, including myself, including our football operations, our operations/player's operations and employees. Everyone is involved. It is a team performance. ”

“We have the capacity and quality of the people in the areas I think you need them. I think we'll be fine in this world if it changes, ”said Smart.

Regardless of whether Georgia has someone in the staff of General Manager in the staff or not, there are people who take care of the players' side. If we move towards college football in the direction of income, we can see that things change in Athens.
