Trial date for another Club Blu Shooting -suspect

Downtown Fort Myers, Florida – Almost a decade after the Club Blu Mass Shooting in Fort Myers, a negotiation date for one of the men accused in connection with the tragedy was set.

On Thursday, judge Nick Thompson set a negotiation date on October 6th for Demetrius O'Neal and expected it to take up to three weeks.

O'Neal, together with Tajze Battle, Derrick Church and Don Loggins compared to two cases of Murder second degree and a conspiracy to commit murder for their alleged role in the shootout, killed two people and 14 more injured in July 2016. All four men are in prison in prison.

O'neal will first go to court, while it is unclear when the exams for the others begin.

Kierra Russ was charged with the shootout in 2022 and sentenced to life in prison in 2022.

None of the accused appeared on Thursday, but judge Thompson ordered that all defendants will be present for a conference on June 16.
