Trowbridge students start in the new school after they found,

More than 200 Milwaukee Public School's students and employees start the school week in another building.

The Milwaukee Ministry of Health closed the Trowbridge School in Bay View due to dangerously high lead levels and moved the lessons to Wisconsin Conservatory of Lifelong Learning with 5 miles away.

WISN 12 News were there when the parents made children in the new building in the new building at 7 a.m. from Monday.

A senior student prompted the Ministry of Health in the past month to test Trowbridge.

Trowbridge families only found it late last Thursday that the students will be moved to a new building from Monday. The parents with the parents with 12 news had mixed opinions about how information from the district was published.

“It was of course worrying, but I have the feeling that the staff really dealt with it really well,” said Aubrey Rosing, a parent of a Trowbridge student. “You communicated with us and tried to calm us down. I feel nervous, but I know that you handled it.”

“There was no lot of communication about how the process would happen. I think we'll find out,” said parents Hannah Roland.

“How does it feel like parents to have so many unanswered questions at this point?” asked WISN 12 News' Erica Finke.

“It doesn't feel good. But at the same time I understand that the school system is not planned and that you do your best,” said Roland.

MPS has promised to offer the students the new school in Milwaukees Avenues West neighborhood transport. Those who normally take the bus have the same bus driver to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Lifelong Learning.

Trowbridge, which offers courses for classes K4-8, is closed for an indefinite period, while the crews work to control the lead problem. At the moment there is no word about how long students will attend courses at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Lifelong Learning.

Health officers have discovered lead in four different MPS schools. In addition to Trowbridge, tests were carried out on the lower campus of Golda Meir, the Kagel School and Maryland Avenue Montessori. Health officers say that no other schools should be tested on their radar at this point. So far, Trowbridge is the only school that has been completely closed.
