Officials will examine the effects of foreign government grants, predatory trade practices and derivative products – and in particular when countries like China artificially depress the price of goods such as kitchen cupboards. Trump previously said that he had 25% tariffs on wood in the near future, but the official said that the investigation could also lead to regulatory changes to make the wood harvest easier.

At the same time, Trump signs an executive regulation entitled “Freing Our Forests”, which focuses on the tightening of the regulatory approval process and enables more harvesting from wood rescue.

The official declined to say how long the examination would probably take, but stated that the trade department would move quickly. The official also rejected it to say later tariffs that resulted from the probe that were trumped to Trump's so -called mutual tariffs in other countries, or a delivery of 25% to Canada and Mexico, which were met next week.

The President's movement serves twice the political purposes. Trump was responsible for the maintenance of the forest and not the climate change for a flood of forest fires in California, including the youngest flames that decimated large parts of the Los Angeles region.

The still wood wood was a decades of the trade between Ottawa and Washington. The American industry accused of Canadian producers that were emptied across the border with low inexpensive wood. The United States argues that Canada subsidizes its lumberjacks by calculating cheap fees for harvesting and repeatedly striking tasks on Canadian softwood over the years.

Last summer, the United States hiked taxes on Canadian wood to 14.54%, a level that has already put pressure on production and has expressed concerns about the future life capacity of some northern sawmills.

A tariff of 25% – especially if they are added to the existing obligations, would lead to economic pain on both sides of the border. The US wood production rose, but the country is still relating to imports to satisfy demand. According to the National Association of Home Builders, a large majority of US soft spotes come from Canada.

In February, Trump also signed an executive campaign in which the trading department was instructed to check possible copper tariffs. A movement of the leading administrative officials threw as needed to rejuvenate the domestic production of a metal for modern economies. The officials argued that dumping and overcapacity on the world markets had influenced domestic copper production and that weapon systems and other critical products depend on imports.
