Two football players in Texas Longhorn's part of several NCAA violations

Austin – Texas Longhorn's football program suddenly makes headlines for the wrong reasons in this post.

By reports on Thursday by David Eckert der Austin American Statesman, Two unnamed Texas football players together with three non -students of the sports department committed sports game violations from July 11, 2024 to November 4, 2024, which made it possible to play bets in the first eight games of the Texas football season.

These violations were reported by Texas to the NCAA itself.

According to the statesman's report, the five unnamed persons have sparked almost 15,000 US dollars for prezicks, one in Texas legal fantasy -competition app, which is still prohibited by the NCAA.

As far as the punishment is concerned, Eckert reports that one of the non -students who worked in an assistant role was released due to the bet. According to Eckert, “warnings and additional sports betting training were administered” to the other two non -students.

For the two unidentified student athletes in the football team, a player had to donate his gameebling win to a charity organization of his choice. The other player seemed to have a more serious gaming problem, and the statesman reported that he “looked for help from his parents” to recover from an addiction that apparently prompted him to place 67 bets that cost almost $ 10,000. This unnamed player has now left the program, which probably many Texas fans ask who it could have been if you look at the portal descents in this off -season.

Texas football begins on Saturday, August 30th, its 2025 season in Columbus against Ohio State Buckeyes.
