Ualbany names Jared Ambrose as an interim head football coach

The University of Albany has appointed Jared Ambrose as an interim head coach of her football program after he has had the team's term of office as an offensive coordinator and quarterback coach since 2022.

Ambrose was an outstanding personality in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), which contributed to three different teams that reached the national semi -finals of the FCS, including an appearance at FCS National Championship Game.

Ambrose said:

I am humble and grateful to be in this position to accept this station as an interim head coach at the University of the Albany Great Football program. I would like to thank President Havidán Rodríguez for entrusting me with this honor, and I would like to thank Mark Benson and his employees to support and help with this transition. I promise to spend every working minute to be your head coach to ensure that everything we do is intentionally, focused, organized and passionate. It should be noted and understood that everything I have been able to do in my career so far because I have an amazing family by my side. My wife Ashley and our children Evie, Sawyer and Jace are the essential influences in my life, and they have and will continue to be my purpose.

Under Ambrose's leadership in 2023, the Ualbany criminal was achieved the first national semi-finals and the CAA title in FCS. The quarterback Reese Kotenbarger led the nation with 3,603 Passing Yards and 246 points, while Wideout Brevin Easton took fourth place in FCS. 1,086 reception sheets and third parties with 13 touchdowns. Wideout Julian Hicks was also excellent and took fourth place to get touchdowns with 11 and collect 820 yards. Rookie, the Griffin Woodell left, received the Caa Rookie of the Year Award after hailing 892 yards and eight touchdowns with another four touchdowns.

In total, the crime of 2023 Ualbany collected a total of 5,524 yards and 52 touchdowns, which marked a record year for the program.

Ambrose came to Ualbany in 2022, after working as an offensive coordinator of the University of Delaware, where his unit recorded records on the way to a CAA championship and a semi-final appearance of FCS in 2020-21.

In front of Delaware, Ambrose spent a decade at Towson University, including seven seasons as an offensive coordinator who contributed to three FCS playoff appearances and a run for the national championship game 2013.
