Ualesi Mua receives criminal justice as a special representative

The special representative Ualesi Mua, the American special agent of American Security, American Samoa (DHS) has successfully completed his Bachelor's degree in criminal judiciary through the online program of the Southern Utah University. Mau concluded her end in autumn 2024 and showed an immense commitment by continuing his work in law enforcement authorities while at the same time graduating.

Mua's journey towards university education was inspired by his passion for criminal justice and the desire to help his community. Currently stationed in American Samoa, Mua works with local police and federal authorities to combat illegal drug trafficking.

“I was always interested in the criminal justice system and I wanted to invest my time in to make something,” said Mua. “Suu helped me to get deeper into investigations and law, and it gave me the tools to continue to serve with confidence.”

The challenges of reconciling a full-time job with online course work were considerable, but Mua opposed it with commitment.

“Working layer while taking part in class for two years during the day, I taught me how important it is, endurance and passion for what I learned,” he said.

Mua's story is particularly inspiring because he is the first in his family to attend a US university and achieve significant performance on his personal and academic journey. He attributes a lot of his success to the support of his family and mentors. In his trip, the importance of Suu's commitment is also emphasized for the support of online students.

“The instructors, consultants and employees were always ready to conduct me through challenges,” said Mua.

The criminal justice program offers students a comprehensive practical and professional knowledge of the criminal justice system, which consists of law enforcement authorities, courts and corrections. Students will develop a knowledge of the application of law, social sciences and natural sciences on the problems of crime and crime.

“The courses for the criminal justice of Suu gave me essential techniques, and I was lucky enough to learn from professors who have experience in the law enforcement authorities themselves,” said Mua.

While Mua is looking into the future, he focuses on continuing his work in law enforcement authorities, and plans to pursue a master's degree in public administration at the SUU.

“I hope to inspire others and continue to have a positive effect in my community,” said Mua. “I will continue to serve my people in American Samoa and work towards positive changes.”
