Unsinent tips are not so easy – tax revenues are the same and gradually

In his record -long speech to the congress, President Donald Trump reiterated his endeavor to have taxes on tips and overtime, a position that is much non -partisan. We do not agree.

This falls into the bucket of a policy that sounds excellent on paper in top professions that give less of their hard-earned money for the government, which is not to be liked, but begins to examine more closely. Income is income. Working for a fixed hourly wage or a set weekly salary should make no difference to your tax rate, which is progressive, since people with higher incomes pay a higher percentage.

If part of this income comes from tips, the helmsman should not play a role (and certainly a good part of the tips is not reported as income). And many people who work for a tip loan in the service area already earn so little that they have no tax liability. And there was always a problem that workers who did not receive their tips from unscrupulous bosses.

The advantages of satisfying tips from taxation quickly fall off.

If it has been issued at the federal level, there can be a movement to change more employees in top positions, with all these inherent problems. And also the loss of sales for the government.

If you believe that the distribution of the tip for countless non-traditional services and even goods is now out of control, wait until you are not taxable. You will see this dentist in the dentist in the supermarkets, everywhere in the PET shop.

This is not all a lead for congress and local guides not to do anything. To be honest, it is unsurpassed that the Federal Minimum wage has been at 7.25 per hour since July 2009, about five months before the first “Avatar” film was published.

Some valid concerns about the elimination of the top undermined wage were expressed-a poor $ 2.13 per hour, but several states did this without breaking their restaurant industries. If cities, states and the federal government want to reform the tax system, you should reform it instead of nibbling on such things on the edges.

Of course, the tax system as a whole enforceability requires. Trump pushes this idea again at the same time when his poorly advised slash of the state workforce and services in its sights. According to reports, the agency has reported plans to reduce employees by up to half.

The billions in the IRS as part of the Inflation Reduction Act by Joe Biden have already invested an enormous return on capital.

The undermining of the tax surveys and the IRS is in the glove with Trump's absurd belief that the US government can or should try to finance itself mainly through tariffs, which luckily have now been partially thrown back, since some adults in the room recognize that they illuminate a securing of the global economy. Not a lot of unsettled tips will compensate for the rising food prices.
