Up Man, which was lured by the Pak agent 'Neha's', arrested for Australian defense information

Lucknow:

Uttar Pradesh's anti-terrorism squad has arrested a man who works in a Firozabad Ordnance factory because he suspected that Pakistan's inter-services or ISI is spied on.

The man – Ravindra Kumar – shared confidential data, including information from the Gaitaan world space project and the process against a military logistics drone, said on Friday.

An employee of Ravindra Kumar was also arrested.

Mr. Choudhary said UP ATS and other law enforcement authorities were made aware of Ravindra Kumar, who may have worked data to a female handler – code name Neha Sharma – and for ISI.

“So our Agra unit carried out a preliminary survey by Ravindra Kumar and then he was called to the ATS headquarters to receive more detailed surveys, which turned out to share very sensitive information about a handler named 'Neha',” said the Senior COP to reporters.

The man's contact, said Choudhary, was saved in Ravindra Kumar's phone under the name “Chandan Store Keeper 2”. Sharma had started contact with Kumar via Facebook.

And as soon as this contact has been established, Kumar shared information about WhatsApp.

“This ISI model has been around for a long time,” he said, referring to the 'Honey trap', in which female agents are sensitive information that often refer to defense issues.

“They capture people and extract information that a major threat to national security. While we questioned it, we found that he shared information with the handler … This included daily production reports on the Ordnance factory in which he worked, requirement details …”

He also asked all the order factories and other defensive institutions to tighten security protocols and “maintain a minimum level of security for all employees”.
