Upper Makefield probing gas line LECK, which contaminated the residential fountain

After the outcome of an underground tube and the contaminated of six residential events in the municipality of Upper Makefield, the authorities are now investigating additional properties, including two outside the border for the original problem.

According to reports, two private fountains on the Mt. Eyre Road in front of the Glenwood Drive district, where the pipeline owner occurred, have a positive effect on benzene and naphthalin. The additional fountains bring the total number of the spoiled residential fountain to eight.

When this report came to the fore, other messages were developed: Pipeline giant energy transmission spilled more than any other operator in the upper Makefield in 2024; The energy transmission has offered to buy houses near the spill, and the Department of Environmental Protection by Pennsylvania shared with the energy transmission against the law on clean streams of the state because they were released into state waters such as the Delaware flow.

The pipeline matter began in the first week of February, when the energy transmission stated that the 100-mile tube with a diameter of 14 inches was leaked through the residents for the first time in September 2023 that water tasted and smelled of petrol.

The tests started on living fountain this month. Of 115 fountains tested, the number with hydrocarbons was “over the nationwide health standards” after the energy transfer on February 17. Additional tests in the first and second round were pending.

“We will continue to provide water in bottles to the affected landowners,” said the energy transmission.

According to reports, two private fountains were found to be contaminated by two private fountains far southwest of the leak – outside the border to the leak.

The energy transmission states that it is planned to start with “geophysical resistance tests” and passive ground gas tests in the entire neighborhood.

“This process takes place with long cables that use electrically resistive signals to locate the basic rock and its fractures under the surface,” said energy transmission.

The company said that it would continue its efforts to narrow down the affected field.

“We continue to narrow down the potential impact area,” said energy transmission.

In the meantime, the Sunoco Pipeline LP unit from Energy Transfer in 2024 spilled more sophisticated fuel than any other operator, such as Bloomberg, a financial news company. Bloomberg also reported that the energy transmission offered to buy houses in the area of the leak.
