The US Highway 401 is closed on Monday afternoon in Fuquay-Varina due to a gas leak.

According to a message from the city, the highway is closed to ten ten roads. First aiders and employees of the gas company reacted to the necessary repairs and the detour.

The drivers in Southern Wake County should use an alternative route, since no timeline was given to reopen the road.

Some neighbors had to leave their houses and more than 2,400 people were at one point in the area without power.
