UTD selection licks in front of Fulham, as Ruben Amorim Fett FA Cup Call | Football | sport

Manchester United has confirmed reports that Chido Obi will not play a role on Friday against his former Club Arsenal, who stayed with the first team. The 17-year-old would have returned to Nordlondon in a play, but Ruben Amorim kept him in Manchester with Fulham before the meeting on Sunday.

So far, Obi has played a crucial role in the FA Youth Cup campaign of the United Years under the age of 18 and scored seven goals in three games, including a hat -trick in a 5-1 robbery of Chelsea in the last 16th but Amorim's senior team has to worry about this weekend when Fulham visited in the fifth round of old Trafford.

On Friday, Mail Sport reported that United wanted to prioritize the recovery and preparation of Obi against Ipswich Town despite his role as an unused replacement in the 3-2 victory on Wednesday.

Since then, the M16 giants have confirmed that Obi worked in Carrington while his U18 teammates visit the Emirates stage.

Amorim made his debut in the first team in the form of a two-minute cameo appearance at the end of the 1-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of this month.

Last Sunday Obi played over 20 minutes from the bank in 2-2 against Everton in Goodison Park before watching the triumph of Ipswich from the shelter from the triumph.

Amorim and his coaching team were impressed by the start of the life of the ex-arsenal starlet in the senior setup.

“I think when you see Chido, who sometimes plays every ball that is lost in the box, he is very smart,” said the Portuguese tactician after his debut.

“So I tried to set another player because I felt that the team was good during the game and I didn't have the need to change. And Chido was this player – a long ball and he can make the difference.”

The first win of the first team will be the loss of the U18S, but manager Adam Lawrence has enough quality to be sure that he exceeds a semi -finals from the FA Youth Cup against Aston Villa.

Gabriel Biancheri and James Scanlon are among the exciting talents that are available Lawrences, but Obi's absence will be felt on Friday evening.

Rasmus Hojlund is expected to begin again when Fulham M16 visits, although a drought of 17 games has currently been scored. But Obi's youth team almost guarantees that he will be in line for more minutes.
