The former Minister of the YSRCP government Gudivada Amarnath said that the results of the Uttarandhra teacher MLC elections were an apprenticeship for the NDA government that implemented anti-public politics. He said that the government's teachers from Uttarandhra had given the government a shock in the past nine months to neglect the region and not to implement the promised welfare systems. It is also shameful to see how the government announces the candidate for the winner as the elected candidate and cannot accept the defeat, he said.

The former minister, who is also the President of the YSRCP Visakhapatnam, spoke about a press conference here in the party office, said that the NDA previously announced its support for the candidate P Raghu Varma. But after Raghu Varma lost the polls, the TDP Minister K Atchannaidu shot the table and declared the winning candidate Srinivasula Naidu as her chosen candidate. Palla Srinivasa Rao, President of the TDP state, has organized a number of sessions to ensure that Raghu Varma wins, and he also posted tweets that support him in X (formerly Twitter), he said.

“Any NDA leader can show that they supported Srinivasula Naidu in the surveys,” he asked.

Mr. Amarnath said that the entire government employee is 35 % teachers. With these surveys, the teachers clearly gave their opinion on the government. It is also obvious that the educational department led by Minister Nara Lokesh did not solve the problems related to them, he said.

The YSRCP leader also struck the NDA government because of its alleged negligence on the beach in Rushikonda. He pointed out that Rushikonda Beach received a “Blue Flag certification” under the YSRCP government. After the NDA government had come to power, it ignored to properly maintain it, which led to the temporary loss of certification.

Steps were taken under the YSRCP government to set up projects such as Bhogapuram Airport, Mulapeta Hafen, medical universities in Narsipatnam, Paderu, VizianAgaram, kidney research center in Uddanam. But under the NDA government, the Uttarandhra region is completely ignored. The government has only focused on “Amaravati”, he said.
