Veranda pirates steal supplies from Lincoln Small Business

Lincoln, alongside (Klkn) – Despite the prevalence of do -it -all, the brazen thieves – known as “Veranda pirates” – often use the opportunities.

Sometimes they even strike on the bright daylight and steal everything from home culture and medication to pet accessories – like what happened to Lincoln, Molly Martin, over the weekend.

She has posted a video in which local news apps now posted in which someone opens her veranda in a ski mask and grabbed two packages.

According to the Security.com, Diehen stole 12 billion US dollars in front of the door in 2024 alone and affected 58 million Americans.

The annual report showed that Nebraska had one of the highest package thefts, whereby almost 10% of the NebraSkans were affected over a period of three months at the end of 2024.

Martin has lived in her quarter of East Lincoln for 25 years.

Martin also leads her dog business business zoom groom, which was affected by theft.

When she couldn't find her packages on Saturday evening, she thought for the first time that it was just a misconception.

After Martin had checked her film material from ring camera, he realized that two thieves had noticed their camera and still bravely took over the packages.

“And sure enough, at 6:15 a.m. a child went down the sidewalk and saw my ring doorbell and told the other child that there was a ring doorbell, but it didn't seem to take care of it,” said Martin. “He came up the stairs and reached for the packages and went off. And that's it. “

Martin has had her doorbell camera for six years and thought it was enough to prevent all prospective thieves.

“I always felt safe here,” she said. “Now I'm looking a little over my shoulder and think I shouldn't trust that.”

The packages contained products worth around 200 US dollars from St. Patrick's Day Topics Dog toys to special blades for their foster tools.

“It was for my business,” she said. “I needed to operate and it's really disappointing.”

Martin said she was forced to implement herself while waiting for it to be replaced to be delivered.

In the meantime, the police in Lincoln actively examine.

Martin said she just wants her things and she added that the veranda pirates should rethink the way they are on and think about how their actions affect others.
