Video of the teenager in Hotpot -Viral, China Chain, offers 10 -fold compensation


New -Delhi:

Haidilao, one of the largest restaurant chains of China, promised thousands of customers compensation after a video of a customer who was urinating in a hotpot in the restaurant. The video that was shot last month shows a man who stands on a table at a Haidilao outlet in Shanghai and urinates a hot pot with a boiling broth. Another man was supposedly involved in the disgusting act.

Haidiliao apologized for the incident and declared that he had taken legal action against those responsible. “In the early morning hours of February 24, two men urinated after eating in a private room in a Haidilao branch in Shanghai to a hotpot,” said the company.

“Since the management had not yet made emergency plans or a training course for dealing with this type of incident, the employees of our branch could not recognize anomalies on site or maintain the safety of the food environment,” it said.

The restaurant announced that there is a complete reimbursement of a flat -rate amount of 10 -fold amount between February 24th and March 8th and March 8th. The police in Shanghai said two 17-year-olds were arrested in connection with the incident.

Haidilao is popular for his service and its menu, including his broth. It has expanded its presence outside of China and opened the sales outlets in the USA, Japan and Great Britain.
