Video Published by San Antonio confrontation, in which seven officers were shot

The video offers a deeper insight into the hourly efforts to take a shooter in custody after allegedly shot and met an official who answered a suicide call.

San Antonio-Neue Videos published by the San Antonio police department to record the shooters.

The law enforcement agencies finally shot this man, who was later identified as a 46-year-old Brandon Poulos. All seven officials were finally released after they had been treated in a local hospital.

The shorter video with three minutes-47 seconds created several angles of the chaos on January 22nd and ends with film material from Swat officers on armored trucks.

The longer video – five minutes and four seconds – is told by SAPD spokesman Washington Moscoso, who talks about body cameras of several officials who reacted to the apartment complex in the 18700 block of the Stone Oak Parkway. SAPD also published the Audio of the 911 Call Poulos, which was made that night when he says: “I fix to shoot myself. Come to them.”

Moscosso said the first shots sound at around 8:30 p.m. an officer, the “weapon, weapon!” Scream. Before several loud pony can be heard and another answering officer falls to the ground and screams that he was hit. The officials managed to take him out of the area and a hospital.

Infrared video, which was recorded by SAPD's police helicopter, which monitors the scene, shows an armed person who was identified as Poulos and visibly points to the Chopper Overhead before hiding under a truck.

“Shortly after 9 p.m., officials developed on site to take the suspect in custody when the suspect suddenly came out under the truck, the firearms -multipoles ran to Eagle and then ran back into the apartment,” Moscoso continues . “Once in the apartment, the suspect began from a vehicle on officers and met additional patrol police officers.”

Additional infrared video shows how great the presence of the law enforcement agencies grew in the complex during the night. It also shows when Poulos allegedly shot in a second group of officers that were interrupted by several stones. After what Moscoso categorized as “several hours of negotiations and various unsuccessful tactics” to give Poulos to hand over, the police fired at him in the complex parking lot of armored vehicles.

The authorities believe that Poulos – which was only released from prison a few days earlier and was arrested due to suspected domestic violence – was fatally shot in this exchange.

SAPD announced pictures of two officers, of which Moscoso said Poulos assumed that Poulos fired on officers: a gun of the snub nose and a long weapon. Officials also said that he seemed to have a self -inflicted minor cut on the neck, although Bexar County's medical examiner came to the conclusion last month that he was shot several times.

Moscosso said the investigation was not completed, including the determination of whether all SAPD procedures were followed. The incident was also forwarded to the public prosecutor for their review per department protocol.

This is a developing story.
