A failed attack was followed by a faulty short vacation for burglars, which recently broken into an upland chain restaurant, according to the authorities. The group was interrupted in the middle. In a funny video and explanation published by the highland police on X, three people are broken into the home cuisine and bakery of the Corky near 7th Street and Mountain Avenue on Thursday.
The police added “It's Tricky” from RUN-DMC as a soundtrack for security and body cameras videos of the burglars, which are smashed with a shell in the glass terrace door of a restaurant, and then with drills and a break, to get a safe inside. The safe that people seem to move in the video seems to have been given up when sirens can be heard outside.
The police approached the stolen Black Dodge Challenger, who was parked in front of the restaurant about six minutes after the first break -in. After a failed pit maneuver to immobilize the car in the parking lot, the burglars fled and deliberately met a police vehicle to get away, the police said.
The escape driver, of whom the police said he was an adult from Southgate because of a burglary, drove near South Linda Way – a dead end – before stuck between two parked cars.
Several suspects fled on foot, the police said. Two were arrested, a 16-year-old from Los Angeles and the driver. Two others escape. The police have not identified any of them.
The stolen challenger had another plate inside with another vehicle connected to other burglaries, the police said.
Management at Corky declined to comment on Sunday when he was asked about the break -in.
