Video shows suspects who collapse into the highland restaurant before leading the police in Stolen Dodge Challenger on the chase

Highland, California (KABC) – New video shows a group of suspects that break into a highland restaurant before the authorities run a dangerous chase in a stolen Dodge Challenger.

The incident developed early Thursday morning.

According to the Upland police, the officials received a burglary alarm in a restaurant near 7th Street and Mountain Avenue around 3:30 a.m.

Video that was published on the department's X account shows one of the suspects who use a tool to penetrate the business.

Two other suspects were seen behind him, one of whom was wearing a headlight.

When the officers arrived at the scene, the suspects ran quickly and rose to the challenger, which turned out to be stolen.

Then the chase began.

The police said the officials tried a box maneuver in the restaurant's parking lot, but the suspect continued.

“The challenger's driver then deliberately rammed one of our units and fled on,” said the police in a statement.

The police said the chase was over when the suspect Linda Way drove up, which is a dead end. The driver apparently tried to push between two parked cars to get to the sidewalk and stuck.

The driver, who was only identified as a man from Southgate on probation for burglary, was taken into custody. A second suspect, a 16-year-old from Los Angeles, was also arrested.

The two suspects have now been booked and are charged with several charges, including bodily harm with a fatal weapon on an officer, a commercial slump, crime and Grand Theft Auto.

Two other suspects remain at the ground.

The police said it was another plate in the challenger who was listed as a crime vehicle with other burglaries.

The incident remains examined.
