Viral Post Sparks of the Indian student about life abroad

A Reddit contribution entitled “I regret to switch to Canada” has become viral and has light on the hard realities of the Indian students who are looking for a better future. The anonymous poster, which is currently living in Canada, warns up -to -see migrants that the dream of a wealthy life in the West is often nothing more than an illusion.

The Redditor emphasizes how international students are used by the Canadian government and the universities as a “business model”. The user wrote that most students enroll for private or low -age institutions that require exorbitant tuition fees but offer below average training.

“Professors have hardly made any effort, the curriculum is out of date and the degree is almost useless on the labor market. Employers do not even take their diploma seriously,” wrote the user.

The pupil appointed the Bow Valley College in Calgary “The Worst School” and warned that most graduates without “Canadian experience” have no choice but to take on survival jobs such as Uber, warehouse work or retail to cover the basic costs.

The user also emphasized one of the biggest shocks for international students that the cost of living in Canada is. Rent, food and necessities are far more expensive than many expect.

“Most students ultimately work for long hours at minimum wages to survive. The work-life balance is not available either or they don't eat.”

Post also claims that many employers take advantage of international students and pay them illegally low wages. Those who complain are easily replaced by other desperate students so that they are caught in a cycle of financial difficulties.

The emotional burden of life abroad is another main problem that the poster raises. “Canadians are polite, but far from, and real friendships are rare. Depression and loneliness are hard and many students suffer in silence,” wrote the Redditor.

The Redditor calls on the students to rethink their plans to move abroad and argues that India grow and offers better chances. “The West sells you an illusion, but as soon as you are here, you can see that you have been brainwashed. Stay in India, invest in yourself and build something meaningful at home.”

Post has triggered an intensive debate online, and many agreed to the fights mentioned, while others argue that Canada still offers better opportunities than India.

A Reddit user shared: West is cool when you have a job, do a job visa and a company pays you a salary. It is not cool when you have lachs of debt and work on peanuts, briefly not for poor people. “

Another defended Canada and said: “I moved to Canada in 2022 and it is great here. When they followed others like sheep and have gone to a random college in Ontario to make a stupid course, it is her fault, buddy.”

Some accused Indian students for unrealistic expectations: “People never understand the difference between a happy life and a comfortable life. They cannot have both.”
