Viral video of ice officers that break in the arrest in the Spokane Valley Auto window | Spokane news

Spokane Valley, Washington. – A video that shows the immigration officials that break the windows of a car in the Spokane Valley has become viral in the region.

The incident included the arrest of two brothers, Jison Ruiz-Rodriguez and Cesar Ruiz-Rodriguez on Monday. Kayla Somarriba, the wife of one of the brothers and an American citizen, was in the car with them.

Somarriba said they were on their way to a court hearing in connection with a harassment that no one has yet been convicted. She commented concerns about the strength applied during the arrest and said that she was afraid of her husband's life: “Yes … I'm still afraid.”

The group was stopped near the corner of Custer and third, where Somarriba reported that immigration officers surrounded the truck. “And then it was just like 12 that surrounded the truck,” she said.

Somarriba said she asked the officials for an arrest warrant and explains: “Ignore that we see the arrest warrant.” When the officials threatened to break the windows, she said, they told her: “If they don't get out, we will break the windows” what they do.

The Ruiz-Rodriguez brothers were brought to a Tacoma ICE facility. Somarriba mentioned an earlier removal application for her husband in 2019, who was later released. “We didn't even know that he had an order,” she said.

ICE published an explanation in which the brothers have alleged members of a Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua, which Somarriba refuted: “I told them I am 100% sure that they have nothing to do with a gang.”

The ICE declaration added that the brothers resisted the officers during the arrest, which led to a forced entry through ICE officers. Cesar Ruiz-Rodriguez 'arrest had to be killed with indictment for burglary, malicious disaster, drive-by shooting and threats. The spokesman added that Jeiison's arrest was associated with his crime with a weapon accusation

The lawyer of immigration, Hector Quiroga, commented on the video and said: “We'll see a few things in the video that caused a concern for me.” He found that the arrests appeared coordinated and probably had a probable cause. “They very much knew what they did was a targeted stop,” added Quiroga.

Quiroga explained that the type of arrest warrant may not have been asked to show him during the arrest. With regard to the use of violence, he said: “Usually such arrests are arrested by the federal government if there is suspicion of weapons or a crime that are aggressive.”

Somarriba has continuing concerns about the future of their family, especially with regard to the potential deportation of their husband. “Will my baby's father be deported? Will he miss the birth of his baby,” she asked.

Somarriba's family unanswered the incident and left a feeling of uncertainty. “No, I really didn't think that would happen,” she said.
