Wake County teacher, sons escape fire that destroyed her home

Raleigh, NC (WTVD) – A school teacher of Wake County and her two sons were driven after a big fire burned through her house at the beginning of this week.

The basic teacher of Lynn Road, Nicole Watkins and her two sons Wyatt and Wade, were in the town house at the English Oaks -Drive when the fire started.

Witness Sheri Thompson shared a video with ABC11, which showed the intensity of the flames on Tuesday evening.

Wyatt is at the Millbrook High School in the second year and Wade is a senior at the Sanderson High School.

Her father Mike is a teacher at Millbrook and said that he was both humble and overwhelmed by the generosity of the community after posting a gofundme site for his ex-wife.
