Louisville, Ky. – – At the 2025 Indoor ACC light athletics championships in Louisville, senior Luke Tewalt took second place in the men's 3000-meter period with a time of 7: 39.09 to secure the honor of all-accium of the first team and to move nationally into the top 10.

For the second time this season, Tewalt broke the program's indoor all-time record, which was previously set up to 7: 39.77 during the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on February 14th.


Tewalt, who is in 9th place nationwide, will compete in the 2025 championships in Virginia Beach from March 14th to 15th.


In the 3000 m of women, the demon deacons had three personal provisions. Brooke Wilson (9: 12.39) and Angelina Perez (9: 16.32) ended in the top 15 while Molly Dreher posted a dominant time of 9: 22.12.



Paul Spec And Jojo Jourdon also took part in the mileage final. Specht finished fourth with a time of 4: 02.84 and received the honor of the second team, while Jourdon crossed the line in 4: 06.08.


The Deacs completed three days at the ACC Indoor athletics championships and received two all-acc teams and three all-Acc second team awards.

“We really had a nice meeting on the side of the women. It was great to see and score some of the women. We missed many possible points on the men's team. Illness hit us quite hard and some mistakes were made that should not be made. We look forward to making a DMR team, Rocky and Luke a NCAA championship.

“The women drove grace and self -confidence this weekend, set ambitious goals and urged themselves to reach them. They kept their serenity on the big stage, which is essential for success at this level. Associated head coach Ashley Bastron
