Wastewater leak in flood lead 40 to temporary accommodation

In view of the strong floods in yesterday's constant rain of men, sewage lanes have occurred that have led to residents of four households to be transferred to temporary accommodations, said the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

NDMA explained that they are working on supporting those affected in the heavy rains and the floods in men and atolls.

40 people from four households were brought into temporary protection due to wastewater and leaks who are due to the floods last night, said NDMA.

They said they had received reports on heavy rain from K. Himmafushi, Huraa and Guraidhoo as well as about flooding and wastewater leaks in Thulusdhoo.

The MET Office today issued a yellow alarm from Baa Atoll to the Meemu Atoll. There is also a yellow alarm from Haa Alif Atoll to Baa Atoll until 1.30 p.m.

The Met Office predicts heavy rains, thunderstorms and floods in these areas.

In the early morning, MNDF said that in six areas in Capital Male 'City drainage effort. From this point on, 85 residences had been provided, and 707 sandbags had been placed in various locations.
