Corvallis, ore. (KTVZ) -For the 12th year, the world can see chickens over the live stream of the Oregon State University Extension Live -Stream.

The livestream started on Sunday and documents the chicks while slipping. The expected Lukendatum is March 19, and the cameras remain until Friday.

Faculty and employee of the OSU extension office in Astoria have set up cameras to publicize the live stream. As soon as the chicks hatch, switch from the incubator to a breeding pen where you stay until you can regulate your body temperatures, according to Julie Scism, assistant to the educational program with the OSU extension 4-h Youth Development Program in Clatsop County.

The eggs were included in the incubators at the end of February. The camera rotates between the incubator and the breeding stick until the chicks are ready to move to their new houses. The chicks go home with extension of 4-hour members who take care of them and point them to the County and State trade fair.

“The chicks are well maintained,” said Scism. “After the chicks were born, we have it in the office for a few days, and then they will be restored so that local 4 h youths continue to learn about the upbringing of chickens, egg production and showmans.”
