In the same interview, Gramm spoke about his hesitation in the performance with what he described as “another band that calls himself strangers”. According to Gram, he and the management of Foreigner discussed a possible tour together, but there were discrepancies about which songs would sing.

“There are certain songs that are my striking songs, and if I can't sing them, I don't want to be on the road,” he said. “It's frustrating, but I don't want it to be frustrating. I thought about it for about a month. Then I found that I couldn't sing my own favorite songs on the tour. I think I will simply tell you that I am not interested.”
