Watch Live: College Prayer Day comes as a revival of College Campus Sweeps College

Today is the College Prayer Day on which students, pastors and leaders combine in faith and pray for transformation in their schools.

It comes in the middle of a spiritual awakening that has reached the College Campus nationwide and is partially fueled by the prayers and public relations work of various campus ministries.

This spiritual awakening has been under control nationwide on College Campus for two years, since tens of thousands of students gather for worship, prayer and baptism.

The movement has seen unprecedented participation and obligations to faith. Cale Matlock, student at the University of Arkansas, described the experience as a powerful. “It was great to have only 10,000 people who all love Jesus and worship God,” said Matlock.

The organization Unite Us was at the forefront of these meetings, and events mark thousands of students. Tonya Prewett, the founder of the organization, emphasized the growing participation.

“We started at Auburn University, we had 5,000 students who were baptized over 200,” said Prewett. “Next we went to the FSU – Florida State, the second largest party school in the nation. We had 4,500 students and we had around 350 students at this event.”

Other ministries also report increased commitment. After interviews, the decisions for Christ rose by 33%last year. Markyel Pittman, student at Jackson State University, described how prayer on campus has become a regular integral part.

“The prayer became so contagious with us, where we had a prayer service directly behind us, exactly where we are,” said Pittman. “A prayer service here almost every week.”

The scholarship of the Christian athletes reported on the highest number of salvation since pandemic, and the International Ministry of Cru recently exceeded one million figure for faith worldwide.

Pastor Jonathan Pokluda, a well-known college spokesman, found that many students come to these meetings that are burdened by previous mistakes.

“They come with feelings of guilt and shame.” And they come here and we show them the one – the only one – who can really deal with their sin, is Jesus Christ. “

The revival also fell on the way to the soccer field. At Ohio State University, players used their national championship victory as a platform to share their faith.

“I only have to give my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the glory and the whole praise, man. Amen. Amen,” said the quarterback from the state of Ohio Will.

His teammate, Wide Receiver EMEKA EGBUKA, repeated this feeling.

“Everything praised my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for this moment,” said Egbuka. “The way he moved in this team was incredible.”

Spiritual awakening actually marked the entire season in the state of Ohio. Egbuka and other players had started their season by led thousands of students in a campus -wide certificate service, which led to 50 baptisms.

And a month after Ohio State won the championship, there was a massive revival on campus, on which almost 2,000 students selected Christ in one night.

The development of the collegial revival reflects the effects of the completely spontaneous spiritual movement of Asbury University at the beginning of 2023, which attracted global attention. A representative of Asbury said that students and employees continue to feel their effects.

“Our students are still hungry. They continue to lead,” said the representative. “They went and shared. They went over 50 groups in ministries and churches both in the USA and overseas.”

Prewett believes that the movement will only continue to grow.

“I think it starts with College students, and the hunger and the fire we see among students and college campus is just starting,” said Prewett. “It's a movement.”
