The Alabama State Hornets men's basketball team won his first NCAA tournament game on Tuesday thanks to a hail of Mary in her first four victory against St. Francis Red Flash.

The Hornets defeated the Red Flash 70-68 in the UD-Arena of the University of Dayton with a gameup by Guard Amarr Knoxin in the last seconds of the competition.

After the game remained with 3.4 seconds with 68 points, the Micah Simpson of the Hornets threw a full pass that reminded of a football throw to offer the ball. Four players from both teams rose for the ball, which opposed the basket and fell into the hands of Knox. He put the ball up to give the hornets with less than a second. Knox ended with 16 points and two steals.

The Hornets climb into the last 64 team field and play the overall winner Auburn on Thursday.

“These boys are incredible. Every day they come in and work, whether we are up or down. They find a way to help us win this game,” said Knox on Tuesday, before looking at the Tigers. “We will try to win the victory.”
