Thomas parties challenge at the Neto
The midfielder of Black Stars, Thomas Partey, has become a major topic of conversation after a controversial challenge during the Arsenal Derby of Arsenal against Chelsea on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
In order to regain possession, the Ghanaian midfielder stamped the Chelsea attacker Neto before winning the ball.
At the beginning of the sequence, Party Enzo Fernández cut off in a duel, but referee Chris Kavanagh played the advantage when the ball fell on Neto.
According to Neto, Kavanagh hired the game, subsequently gave Chelsea a free kick and booked Parttey for his first duel against Fernández.
However, the referee decided not to warn the satisfaction for the second challenge at Neto after the repetitions had shown that he had first contacted the ball before caught Neto's leg.
Nevertheless, some football fans on X (formerly Twitter) argue that the Ghanaer should have been sent.
Arsenal finally secured a narrow 1-0 win in the Emirates stage, with Mikel Merino achieving the only goal of the game.
