Waterfront Octopus beer garden appear at the list of bars to celebrate St. Patrick's Day – Macomb Daily

Octopus's beer garden on Clinton River north of the city center of Mount Clemens is holding its first party in St. Patrick's Day on Monday.

To start the celebrations, the beer garden opens its doors at 9 a.m.

Owner chef Bob Halaas said that he had invested in some remote -controlled retractable glass screens and had already had large terrace heaters to keep party goers warm during the cool weather and at the same time allow a relaxing view of the properties along the river.

“This place never had housings to keep the wind away, so we had installed it. We were open until the New Year's Eve last year, which was a success. Now we can be open at the beginning of the year. We have never been able to do it before, ”he said on Thursday evening.

Octopus' beer garden opened on Mother's Day in recent years. With the installations, the venue opens a few months earlier with the arrival of St. Patrick's Day.

In 2019, Halaas and his family acquired the former captain's landing, which was mainly known for his river boat of Clinton River. The previous owner offered to record the boat when he sold the bar, but Halaas rejected it, and now the boat is now in Chicago, architectural tours through the city with a river.

The chef has some exciting plans for the future of his property in North River Road, but we will come at that time.

For the celebration on Monday, Corned Beef -Hash and scrambled eggs are available until 1:00 p.m. and the menu for the rest of the day contains Corned Beef and Kohl, Irish beef pot, potato soup and corned beef -sandwiches.

There will be no green beer, but there will be Irish beer, said Halaas.

The first 60 customers receive a free Irish Octopus beer garden -Shirt.

Live music is followed by The Fox and the violin from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. PM by Dave Edwards and the appearance that takes up the stage from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. DJ Plach closure from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Vintage House, 31816 Utica Road in Fraser, has teamed up with Fontana events in order to prevent Macomb County's greatest Bashes in the hall and two heated tents outdoors.

O'Halloran's public house

Pat O'Brien's tavern, the anchor of the nautical mile, also organizes a two-day celebration with an outdoor tent and in the tavern this year.

On Sunday

Rogers sleep
