Waterville man accused of being set on fire to kill someone

Waterville, Maine –

The firefighter's office in Maine said that a man tried last spring to kill someone by set fire to a apartment building in Waterville.

Elijah Yeaton, 31, from Waterville, was charged on February 20 for attempted murder and arson in connection with the fire at 6 front places, which took place in the early morning of May 4, 2024.

After the fire had been deleted, the investigators found that the fire had been deliberately placed on a veranda on the second floor outside the back entrance.

The firefighter's office said that the authorities identified Yeaton after a comprehensive examination as a suspect.

Yeaton was known to the residents of one of the apartments and, according to investigators, was familiar with the residence.

When he was officially arrested last week, Yeaton was already detained in the Kennebec County prison in connection with an incident.

The authorities said that Yeaton had been charged with a Grand jury in Kennebec County because of the indictment for murder and arson.
