“We play our best basketball in March”

Georgia Southern will park his Sun Belt Conference Tournament Journey as No. 12 seed against the 13th Seed Southern Miss in the first round on Tuesday.

The Eagles enter the tournament after an exciting 86-79 victory against Old Dominion in their last game with the regular season. It marked Georgia Southern's very first victory against Odu and brought a strong goal for the season.

Southern Miss, who also achieved a victory, defeated Louisiana in his last game behind an impressive performance by Melyia Grayson, who recorded 26 points and 13 rebounds. Grayson's efforts were awarded their SBC player of the week before the tournament.

The winner of the Matchup on Tuesday will compete against Ulm No. 9 on Wednesday.
