WGOLF lectures for Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

Hilton Head Island, SC – Baylor Women's Golf is back on the east coast to prepare for the prestigious Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, starting on Monday morning in the Long Cove Club.

The tournament was the first and remains the only collegiate golf event of the All-Women-Collegiate Golf and is organized by country music superstar Darius Rucker. Apart from the 2020-21 season affected, the bears have played every season in this event since 2017. The invitation to play an event of this caliber Jay Goble does not take easy.

“We are very lucky to continue playing this event, “he said. It is on a great golf course in the Long Cove Club, a top 20 track in America. The event location, support for membership and team activities such as the Darius Rucker concert make it on and next to the course for a really cool week.”

Silje Ohma will play in 1st place for the third event in a row. The 2023 All-American is on the right track to regain this form and not lower in three events this semester than a tie for sixth place. This is Ohma's third trip to the Long Cove Club.

Sera Hasegawa is her best season end of the season with a draw in Valencia, California last week. The senior plays in second place this week and aims to build on your draw for 19^TH in the Long Cove Club last year.

Baimai Seema is also a veteran of Darius Rucker and will be given 3rd place this week. The senior used an final round 70 to bind 41^st on the 90 team field in 2022 and will be the best in her last appearance on the island.

Bridget Boczar will play out of position No. 4 in your first appearance in the tournament. The junior is trendy and ends in the top 25 in the last four events.

Malena Castro Will play out of fifth place this week. At her first two collegiate events, the native General Pico Argentina did not finish worse than a tie for 30^TH.
