What is Crossover Day at Georgia's general assembly?

Atlanta, GA. (Atlanta News First) – Thursday is one of the two most important days of each general assembly in Georgia. The other is the day on which the legislators Atlanta actually leave and go home.

March 6, 2025 is the CrossOVER day, the last day on which an invoice can pass from the State House to Senate or vice versa.

The majority of the invoices change on the crossover day, the 30th day of the legislative meeting. The other house usually changes changes to the invoice and adds its own changes. If an invoice is approved by the second house, but with changes, the original chamber must accept these changes.

The last day of the legislative period is planned for Friday, April 4, 2025.
