When does March Madness begin? Tipoff Date for men's and women's tournaments, Nit

Look, the Super Bowl is great. Amazing, even. I've been on the Bandwagon campaign for the Monday after the game for a long time to be a vacation.

But for my money there is the best moment of the sports year in March.

And it's not even close.

The NCAA tournament, better known as “March Madness”, captivates the country every year, since everyone fills the perfect bracket (they will not) and turn into fans of schools that they had never heard of before the tournament (without the problem of jumping on a band wagon they want with this problem).

There is some magic. The fact that the games begin during the working week, the tendency to important disorders, the expectation that something crazy will happen … This is not unsurpassed by any other sporting event.

Therefore, you don't want to miss a single second of the campaign. But don't worry, we will break down all the important information you have to know for March Madness.

The selection on Sunday, on which the full brackets are announced, is Sunday, March 16. The men's radio broadcast will be broadcast on CBS at 6 p.m. ESPN will present the women's holder at 8:00 p.m. (ET).

The first four games of the men are March 18 and 19. The first round will take place on March 20 and 21. The women start a day later, the first four on March 19 and 20 and the first round on March 21 and 22.

The men's tournament has numerous cities, including Dayton, Ohio, the only moderator of the first four games. Other cities turn every year. The hosts of the first round in 2025 will extend over the nation, with San Francisco who is the most west and Providence is the most widespread east.

San Antonio organizes the men's final Four.

The women's tournament differs from the men, since the games all take place on campus up to the sweet 16 and elite rounds. These games are played in Birmingham, Alabama and Spokane, Washington. The last four games are organized by the Amalie Arena by Tampa Bay.

The NIT, which is called the tournament “not in the tournament”, is actually the “National Invitational” tournament.

The NIT offers a field of 32 teams, all of which missed the cut in the NCAA tournament. Games are played on the campus in the arena of the higher seeds up to the last four, which takes place in the Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The NIT, which has occurred annually since 1938, was won by St. Johns a record (the NCAA cleared the victory of the Red Storm 2003).

The first round of NIT begins on Tuesday, March 18th to 19th. The second round takes place from March 22nd to 23rd. The quarter -finals will be played from March 25th to 26th. The last four games are on April 1 and the NIT championship will take place on April 3.
