When is the 2025 St. Patrick's Day Parade in NYC? Map, start time and road closures

New York City counts in Manhattan until the parade of St. Patrick's Day in 2025.

The historical parade pursues several holidays in the five districts, including A monumental change in the parade of Staten Island this year.

Heavy rain and strong winds are expected to meet New York City on Sunday eveningBut the conditions should calm down in time for the parade on Monday.

Some constant, light rain is expected to start the parade around 11 a.m.

At 2 p.m. the showers are lingered with airy conditions.

The rain will clear from west to east around 4 p.m.

The temperatures will be in the middle to upper 50s.

When does St. Patrick's Day Parade start in NYC?

The 264th annual parade will take place on Monday, March 17th, at 11 a.m. The procession is expected to last more than five hours and will be completed at around 4:30 p.m.

The New York governor Kathy Hochul, the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, and the NYPD commissioner Jessica Tisch will be part of the first wave of marchers, followed by FDNY and Commissioner Robert Tucker later in the morning.

They are accompanied by law enforcement authorities, faith leaders and brass bands from all over the region.

The parade drives about 35 blocks into the legendary Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

It starts in the 44th Street, fits between the St. Patrick's Cathedral between the 50th and 51st street and then reaches the destination in the 79th street on the east side of Central Park.

The organizers say that the spectators can set up anywhere on the route, and early birds can expect the best prospects.
