Sivasri Skandaprasad is an artist based in Chennai who is known for her contributions to carnatic music, Bharatanatyam and visual arts.

She was born on August 1, 1996 and is the daughter of Seerkazhi Sri J Skandaprasad, a Mridangam Maestro. She comes from a family of renowned dancers and musicians – her grandfather, paternal, Kalaimamani, deceased Seerkazhi R. Jayaraman, was an established musician, while her grandmother Shanthi Jayaraman was a popular vocal attendant to lead Bharatanatyam artists.

On the social media platform X, Sivasri describes herself as the “Bharatiya, musician, dancer” and founder of Ahuti, a platform for reviving traditional Indian art forms.

She is a B.Tech graduate (organic engineering) from Sastra University, Thanjavur. She also has an MA in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras.

Sivasri trained under Guru Sri as a Murali in classic carnatic music and won several prestigious music prices. The awards that she won include Bharatha Kala Choodamani, Yuva Samman Award and Bhajana Bhushan.

She started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 3 under the direction of Kalaimamani SMT Krishnakumari Narendan and Acharya Choodamani Guru SMT Roja Kannan and has given several solo appearances.

Sivasri Skandaprasad also sang a song for Ar Rahman in film Ponniyin Selvan 1.
