Why a railway leaks should worry and how it was connected

In view of the embarrassment of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which in his department test found a “paper leak”, which led to the arrest of the employees on March 4, the Ministry of Railway has decided to eliminate the powers of its 68 departments in order to hold such exams. Instead, the exams are carried out centrally by the Railway Recruitment Boards.

After the raids overnight from March 3 to 4, CBI officials arrested 26 railway officials due to the misconduct, most of the most important railway center in Bihar.

Why is that important? For the simple reason that the railways are an integral part of the Indian infrastructure, and qualified employees play a central role in their safe and smooth processes. Check promotion tests whether people have the right skills in important jobs or that they need an upskillinga key factor for safe train operation. If the doctoral system is incorrect or suffering from problems such as document leaks, unsuitable persons can take over critical roles to the detriment of the system.

Department promotion tests in the railways are crucial for professional advancement within the organization. These exams offer existing employees the opportunity to switch to higher positions based on their knowledge, their skills and performance. In essence, these are internal ratings that evaluate the willingness of an employee to take on increased responsibilities.

On March 5, the Ministry headed all zonal railways to prepare full-fledged departmental examination calendar and take strict measures in order to avoid recurrence of such misconduct in the future. The funding tests within the framework of the new system are carried out throughout the country at the same time, and a recruitment medium of the Stodal Railway will work with other committees to hold the exams.

The CBI discovered misconduct is particularly worrying because the railways proudly carry out one of the largest public exams in the world for their recruitment drives. They are fully computer -aided tests that were randomized for candidates in a way that negates the possibility of a “paper leaf” or another foul. The organization is no longer willing to accept for his own department investigations to suffer from such diseases.

As a result of the CBI examination, a case was registered against a high -ranking divisional electrical engineer (operations), eight other railroad officials and many candidates. A CBI spokesman claimed that these department candidates who served locomotive pilots with the railways were arrested red because they had secretly observed copies of examination documents.

In these cases, railway employees were said to be bribed to obtain prerequisites. Searches at eight locations led to barnacles of around 1.17 billion rupees, which were allegedly collected as payments for the leaked examination content.

The test held on March 4 was intended for the selection of candidates for the position of the locomotive inspector. The CBI discovered that a senior engineer from Batch 2014 created the questions physically and in English and later passed on to a candidate who translated his questions in Hindi. The translated materials were then allegedly handed over by an office superintendent in the training department. The CBI officers said that the confiscated handwritten questions matched the official examination document.

The measures of the Ministry of Railway to centralize and standardize the examination process aim to restore the trust of employees in the advertising system in one of the largest organizations in India. The investigation will continue and there will be further developments in the coming days, officials said.
