The rocky river state of the political crisis took another dimension after the governor of the state Sim Fubara was denied access to the temporary legislative quarters in which the legislators led by the Martins Amaewhule are located.

Fubara was on the premises to present the Rivers State Budget in 2025, as required by a judgment of the Supreme Court.

At the scene, the governor said that he officially contacted the spokesman and other legislators, but received no answer.

The former governor of the state of Rivers and Minister of the Federal Capital area, Nyesom Wike during a media parley on Wednesday, suggested on Wednesday that governor Fubara should be charged if he wants the increase in office. He also criticized the current status of the river assembly.

In the meantime, an old video was reappeared online, in which Nyesom Wike accused its predecessor Rotimi Amaechi due to abuse of power and the government of the rivers of the rivers.

During the media parley, Wike Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri accused the lack of character for the organization of a meeting of the political leaders of the South-South Zonal Political Guidelines and other members of the National Assembly.

Wike suggested that governor Diri work with Sim Fubrara in collaboration with Sim Fubrara, added that Diri once knelt to seek support.

In May 2022, Wike visited Governor Douye Diri in the government house in Yenagoa to receive support in front of the Peoples Democratic Party's presidential congress, where Atiku Abubakar later appeared as a candidate for the 2023 election.

Inhabitants of the municipality of Gishiri in the federal capital, whose houses have been torn down, appeal to the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to help them, since they have been homelessly left and the high rent costs in Abuja cannot afford.

The residents' houses and companies are said to have been demolished because they were built as part of a road project for completion by May 2025.

The Foreign Minister of Education asked the governments of Bauchi, Katsina, Kebbi and Kano to rethink the switching schools for Ramadan.

The decision to close the schools for Ramadan by the governors of the north has triggered outrage. The Christian Association of Nigeria called it discriminatory and a violation of non-Muslim student rights.

The group argues that the closure of schools for five weeks deteriorates Nigeria's education crisis, with UNICEF reporting 18.3 million out -of -school children in 2024.

The Nigerian Senate reacted to the complaint by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan at the United Nations Interparliamentary Conference in New York, where she claimed that her suspension of the Senate was retaliation for the President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio because of sexual harassment.

In a letter by the Senate leader Opeyemi Bamidele and read from House representative Kafilat Ogbara, the Senate made it clear that Natasha was suspended because of gross behavior and not because of sexual harassment.

The Senate claimed that procedures and necessary measures were observed in accordance with the rules of the Senate before Senator Natasha was suspended.
