Wolves Foundation to increase free football for adults

The Wolves Foundation has launched a new project to create more opportunities for adults to play free leisure football near their houses.

Kick Off will also support GrassRoots clubs with their off-field operations.

It was financed by the Community Fund (Premier League & Professional Footballers' Association).

The project is monitored by Nikki Lal, former player of Wolves and West Bromwich Albion Women. She started with a bustle wood in base football.

Ms. Lal said the overall goal was that everyone would have the opportunity to play from their home within a mile.

“So it includes a lot of mapping and selection to ensure that we work with other basic projects and other physical activities in different parts of the city,” she said.

“It is about getting into parts of the city where less physical activity is available, or that people have no access and eliminate obstacles to this activity.

“We all know how important movement is for both physical and mental health and the start to offer fun and informal leisure football with small games and games.”

The groups that are already set up for the Kick -off meetings include women's football and football.

There are plans to create more, including meetings for care processes and LGBTQ+ community.
