WVDNR announces fishing regulations in class Q for 12 waters, begins on March 1st

South Charleston, WV (Lootpress) – The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) announced today that 12 waters across the state should be under the fishing regulations of the special class Q from March 1 to May 31.

From March to May, nine lakes and three stream sections are referred to as fishing classes of class Q. During this time, only children 14 and younger and those with a permission of class Q can fish in these waters. These waters have several accessible fishing pillars and stream access. They are also filled with trout between March and May and have a special daily limit of four trout. Fishing is only permitted in daylight.

“The department for natural resources in West Virginia is obliged to make nature accessible to everyone by enjoying and using the state's natural resources,” said Brett McMillion, director of the WVDNr. “Our fishing areas of class Q offer children and people with disabilities extraordinary opportunities to throw their lines in a relaxed atmosphere without competition from other anglers.”

Classes q fishing properties Baker Lake (Ohio County), Bishop Knob Pond (Webster County), Coonskin Park Pond (Kanawha County), Davis Creek (Kanawha County), Handley Pond (Pocahontas County), Laurel Fork (Wyoming County), Logan, Logan, Logan County Airport Pond (Logan County), Mash Fork by Camp Creek (Mercer County), Millers Fork Pond (Wayne Grafschaft), Raleigh County Airport Pond (Raleigh County), Underwood Lake (Cabell County) and Westover Park Pond (Monononia County).
