WWE Star addressed possible John Cena Match

While John Cena's retirement tour has made a detour with a heel transition, AJ Styles spoke out the opportunity to put the WWE star again.

On March 1, 2025, Cena turned the heel in the WWE elimination chamber, with the rock stood and Cody Rhodes attacks.

With Cena's retirement year to 2025, AJ Styles recently dealt with the opportunity to face the star.

In conversation with Chris van Vliet, Styles reflected with Cena in 2016 after thinking about the probability that it was happening again and said:

“I don't make these decisions. I would definitely like it, it would be fun. To be honest, I think that something about it -I can't explain it -why he and I get together so well.

“I don't know what it is because we are definitely not the same in any way, it just works.

“When I first got into the ring with him, it was like 'WoW, age, that was cool', so I would love the opportunity to work again with Cena.”

While Styles would like to compete in his retirement year John Cena, he would also address his plans to retire in the next three years while talking to Van Vliet.

In June 2016, Cena and Styles crossed the paths in Singles Action at WWE Money in the Bank PLE and regularly share the ring at house shows during this year.

Styles defeated Cena in her first singles encounter and would follow this PLE victory with another in Summerlam in August 2016.

After Dean Ambrose (now Jon Moxley) was thrown into the mix, Styles would not garnish the WWE World Championship in October 2016 and defended the title at House shows in triple threats against the couple.

With the Royal Rumble 2017, Cena would take the WWE championship on January 29 on January 29.

Her last singles game on television was subsequently held by WWE Smackdown on February 27, 2018 with CENA.
