Xavier Worthys conspicuous 40 yard dash record could be in danger at NFL Combine

When Xavier Worthy set fire to the NFL scouting with a 4.21-second 40 yard dash in 2024, the NFL could not stop buzzing about it. Worthy used the performance in a selection of the round of the Kansas City Chiefs, and now another player is standing to achieve the same by trying to break the record of Worthy.

Worthies successor at the University of Texas, Isaiah Bond, expects that he will make his colleagues Longhorn one at the 2025 NFL combat this week, since the latest college prospective customers show their skills in front of the NFL General Managers and Scouts.

Bond is a former route with a background both in sprints and in football. After two years in Alabama, he became Texas and became the heir from Worthy's Deep Civil Center Mantle. In the high school, Bond won state titles at the level of Georgia 6a in the events 100 meters (10.51) and 200 meters (21.19).

Another alum in Texas could threaten the record of Worthy at this year's combine.

During the entire preliminary draft process, Bond was one of the fastest overall players in his design class, which also deserved a lot of attention a year ago. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to fit with 4.21 seconds or Best Worthy, but Bond's family tree and history should have it in the mix.

The fastest 40 yard dash times of the NFL combine are often the main discussion point after the multi-day day event. John Ross became a top 10 selection of 4.22 with a second time, while Chris Johnson set out the record with a brand of 4.24 seconds. Dri Archer and Marquise Brown have increased their draft with similar times in recent years.

However, not every great run turns into the NFL success. The list mentioned above is a good example. Ross is a familiar design bust that violated Cincinnati Bengal's crime for years after using such a high -ranking investment in a player who made so little available in return. However, the chiefs are enthusiastic about Xavier Worthys in the first year – proof of his talent, the coaching team of the Chiefs and Worthy's working morality to expand his game.

At the end of the chiefs, Worthy became the most familiar, an important development after injuries to Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown. He ended the season with a total of 749 meters from Scrimmage and 9 touchdowns for the chiefs and became a start of the Mahomes in the passing game. His coming-out party was in a Super Bowl Lix in a loss when he fell 8 out of 8 destinations for 157 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Eagles.

If Isaiah Bond can meet expectations, the title of the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL history can belong to another alum in Texas before this year's combine is over.
