Xbox publication date of the next generation console apparently confirmed in Call of Duty Leak – Xbox

If you should believe rumors, the Call of Duty game of the next generation is currently being developed on the next Xbox.

We all know that a new Call of Duty is on the road, like the one that was announced this year, and the inevitable publication of 2026. Apart from what some could surprise, it will look like consoles of the last generation were finally canceled.

Take a look at the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 trailers below!

Apart from 2004, the publisher Activision has treated a new Call of Duty game every year since its foundation in 2003 and is usually the best-selling title of this year.

Usually it is a cross -platform title when a new Call of Duty arrives, such as last year Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. According to a rumor that makes the social media rounds, this may not be the case with the publication of 2026.

According to Xcancel User, Theghostofhope, the currently unannounced and unnamed Call of Duty 2026 game is only published on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It is also said that the game for DEV Kits is being developed for the next generation Xbox.

It is also rumored that there is a revised user interface and will be “more traditional”. So I would suspect that it was more in the original modern war games (maybe).

In addition, the Xcancel user says that Warzone 3 Is not a guarantee if the current “current/returning player does not retain”.

Reddit users have discussed these rumors, and the general opinion is that most are glad that consoles of the last generation are canceled.

“So does it take until the next general to stop the games of the last generation?” said Ctynldsley.

“No wonder that Infinity Ward is usually the studio that determines the new technology. So if this studio makes the first cod for the new consoles, it makes sense,” said Fastcooljosh.

“It will be strange to have only one code for the current generation,” said Death_Metalhead101.

It is not always ideal that players of the last generation are left behind, but at some point it has to happen. Games that are only developed for current systems usually work for the better, since they are not held back by developers that they have to make compatible for inferior systems.

Of course, these rumors are unconfirmed at this time, so we should take them with a pinch of salt until they have proven something else.

This year's Call of Duty has not yet been announced, but its great unveiling should take place in the coming months. We will keep you up to date when that happens.
