York County first starts all girls flags of football League in South Carolina

York County, SC -The Carolina Panthers have teamed up with the Middle Schools from York County to start the first flag -football League in South Carolina. The Club Level program started on Thursday with a meeting of all 14 teams at the Dutchman Creek Middle School.

All 14 teams consist of 15 student athletes from schools in the Clover School District, the Fort Mill School District, the Rock Hill Schools and “York School District 1). Each team had the chance to take part in two games during the kickoff event. to take part in a tournament for an unofficial championship.

The organizers plan to expand the league to the York County high school in the future with the ultimate goal of sanctioning sport in South Carolina. Flag football is currently sanctioned as a university sport in 14 different states. Sport will also make his Olympic debut in 2028 at the Los Angeles Summer Games.

In order to get the York County League on the way, the Carolina Panthers Accountability organizations donated 45,000 US dollars to scholarships that are suitable for the purchase of uniforms, equipment and coach and player development programs. “The league will offer more options and access to the Flag Football Sports for York County girls,” said Riley Fields, Panthers Director of Community Relations. “We are confident that these efforts will serve as a catalyst for the continued growth of sport in South Carolina.”

The current list of participating middle schools includes the Banks Trail Middle School, the Oakridge Middle School, the Castle Heights Middle School, the Pleasant Knoll Middle School, the Clover Middle School, the Rawlinson Road Middle School, the Dutchman Creek Middle School, the Saluda Trail Middle School, Forest Creek Middle School, the Springfield Middle School, the Fort Mill Middle School, the Sullivan Middle School, the Gold Hill Middle School and the York Middle School and York Middle School.
