Your iPhone or Apple Watch can now unlock and start your polestar 3

Owners of a Polestar 3 Electric SUV and an Apple Watch or an iPhone can now block, unlock and even start their cars without a physical key.

The Swedish electric car manufacturer Polestar has organized the latest update (over-the-air) for its Polestar 3 last week, which contained a number of new functions that matched the promise of the company that the electrical SUV “comprehensively” all over the entire entire life cycle update”.

Since the first Polestar 3 was delivered to customers in June 2024, the company has introduced nine software updates-and over 30 in its entire three-car reach since the Startar 2 started in 2020.

Headliner The latest software update is the possibility to add the car buttons of the Polestar 3 to the Apple letter pocket on compatible Apple devices, which means your apple guard on the wrist.

The owners need an iPhone 11 or later with the latest version of iOS or the Apple Watch Series 6 or later with the latest version of Watchos.

Polestar 3 owners can also release their car keys in Apple Wallet with up to 5 other users via news, post, airdrop, WhatsApp and more and at the same time keep the possibility to decide whether these additional users can get access to the vehicle.

And in the event that your iPhone or Apple Watch has to be charged, Apple's electricity reserve ensures that users can continue to use their keys in Apple Wallet.

“At Polestar we strive to deliver a premium experience, and this includes our personal relationship with our customers – they asked for a car key in Apple Wallet, and so we delivered,” said Michael Lohscheller, CEO from Polestar.

“The convenience of using your iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock and start your car and simply share access to the vehicle with others should not be underestimated.”

Similar support from Apple Wallet for the owners of the Polestar 4 will soon fall.

Android users were also not left out, whereby Samsung or Google Pixel devices can also work as the primary digital key.

A number of other software improvements were also included, including automatic wiper activation when choosing the equipment, the parking of the rear -view mirror and the improvements in a number of car substances.
