Zaporizhzhia Ex-Police Officer provides for trials against data leaks

A former police officer from Zaporizhzhia is on trial because he supposedly triggered sensitive data about deceased persons to local burial service providers. This case reported on February 25 is not only for its ethical consequences, but also because of the associated violation of privacy.

According to the local public prosecutor's office in Zaporizhzhia, the suspect, who worked within one of the police stations, had access to the closed information system, which is known as the “information portal of the National Police of Ukraine”.
